Greeting and Welcome
Thanks for visiting the Evangel Mountain Messenger an eMag Blogsite that is dedicated to discussions about discipleship, fellowship and worship. Acts 2:42 tell us “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
Discipleship “…[ Didache] in the apostles teaching”
Fellowship – …[Koinonia] and fellowship in the breaking of bread…”
Worship [Proseuche] “…and the prayers.”
Whatever you call these three…whether notions or concepts or ideas or practices or points of obedience (the one I prefer) they defined the early church that reached so many with so few and with very modest material resources But it is hoped that we can explore some of the biblical basis for these three very important notions I believe that in some cases, we need a better understanding of the early church but I am also aware of some very good things happening in our churches today and we can really learn from each other.
I am a 35 year veteran of the pulpit now serving a rural Virginia Church as Pastor of Evangelism and Church Growth and while I have learned a lot, there is a lot more out there to learn. I am a blogger and more importantly I love to read good blogs. Here, I plan to capture other folks creations and present them to you. I promise to be careful to give credit to the writers and to try to gather the very best that is out them. If you know of a blogger that I need to be reading please email me at editor@evangelonline.org with their site info.
Stay tuned.
